At an age when many people are still drowning in student debt, some millennials already have serious money.

We have reviewed various published reports and find that Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg remains atop the list of the richest individuals under 35.

With an estimated net worth bigger than the economies of many countries, he ranks 6th on the Forbes list of richest billionaires in the world.


2. Lukas Walton, 29
Worth: At least $11.2 billion

How he made his billions: After his father, John Walton — son of Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton — died in 2005, Lukas Walton inherited a sizeable portion of the estate. Most of this fortune was once thought to belong to his mother, Christy Walton, but recent information reveals Lukas Walton was the beneficiary with the higher share.


3. Dustin Moskovitz, 32
Worth: At least $10.5 billion

How he made his billions: Another young’un gilded by Facebook’s popularity, Moskovitz worked on the site in its early stages with Zuckerberg. He went on to co-found Asana, a maker of project-management software for business.


4. Eduardo Saverin, 34
Worth: Around $7 billion

How he made his billions: Saverin came from a wealthy family and was another of the Facebook co-founders, but he was forced out. He and Zuckerberg sued each other and settled out of court. Saverin is still a part owner of the social network and also is an angel investor for other companies.


5. Yang Huiyan, 35
Worth: At least $5.5 billion

How she made her billions: Yang Huiyan’s father, Yeung Kwok Keung, created the high-end Chinese real estate development company Country Garden Group. Prior to the company’s Hong Kong initial public offering in 2007, Keung transferred his shares to his daughter. She is now in charge of the company’s development strategies.


6. Scott Duncan, 33
Worth: At least $5.1 billion

How he made his billions: Duncan inherited his money from his father, who started energy pipeline company Enterprise Products. One of 4 children, Duncan’s fortune has been growing as the company’s stock price has been rising.


7. Nathan Blecharczyk, 33
Worth: Around $3.3 billion

How he made his billions: Blecharczyk is co-founder and chief technology officer of Airbnb, which lists 1.5 million homes, or rooms in people’s houses or apartments, for rental stays. He has a 13% stake in Airbnb.

8. Brian Chesky, 34
Worth: Around $3.3 billion

How he made his billions: With Blecharczyk, Chesky co-founded Airbnb and now serves as CEO of the “sharing economy” lodging company.


9. Joe Gebbia, 34
Worth: Around $3.3 billion

How he made his billions: Gebbia is the 3rd co-founder of Airbnb (with Blecharczyk and Chesky) and is the company’s chief product officer. He and Chesky met while attending the Rhode Island School of Design. According to Forbes, Airbnb grew out of an air-mattress rental operation that the 2 launched in San Francisco during a time of peak demand for hotel rooms.


10. Fuli Zong, 34
Worth: Around $2.7 billion

Where her billions came from: Zong, also known as Kelly Zong, is an executive with Hangzhou Wahaha Group, the Chinese beverage and clothing conglomerate founded by her father.
